about

SHALAMAR, THE MARCH VIOLETS, THE ASSOCIATES, DONNA SUMMER, NEW ORDER, THE HUMAN LEAGUE & GIORGIO MORODER should consider suing WMTID for this shameless slice of Goth Disco! Yes, GOTH DISCO! You heard it here first - earworm music for the dead generation.
From Leeds to Dundee and back out into the free world, ‘ZOMBIE GIRL’ is the hit that never was or ever will be. Tik Tok Tik Tok the clock stopped ticking in 1989 but with fresh ever ready’s in situ Well Martin This Is Different (aka WMTID) are back (those that survived or have a vested interest at least).
A new album (the third and first in over 30 years) is imminent: ‘Fuck Fear’, 10 new tracks for an old n’dying world that had promised so much and daily reinvents ways of imploding.
‘Zombie Girl’ is the first single from the album and for those who covet something lyrically bleak snared to an infectious, plague-like disco post-punk beat this is for you. A second single, ‘The Prince Is Dead’, will follow harshly in its bloody tracks on JULY 1st.

lyrics

VERSE 1
When I first last saw you
You were all alone
When I next last saw you
You wouldn’t come home
There was a sign above your head
It said no one lives here – I think they’re dead
And the terror in your eyes
Would crucify even silent lies

VERSE 2
It happened all too soon
Your eyes were red and your face was blue
And when you died in Spring
Your life became so limiting
Ticking away inside
A time bomb triggered by genocide
And the terror in your eyes
Would crucify even (silent lies) repeat

VERSE 3
When I first last saw you
You were all alone
When I next last saw you
You wouldn’t come home
There was a sign above your head
It said no one lives here – I think they’re dead
And the terror in your eyes
Would crucify even silent lies

VERSE 4
When I first last saw you
You were far from home
When I next last saw you
You couldn’t respond
There was a sign above your head
It said no one lives here – for sure they’re dead
And the terror in your eyes
Would nail even (silent lies) repeat

VERSE 5
When I first last saw you
You were all alone
When I next last saw you
You wouldn’t come home
There was a sign above your head
It said no one lives here – I think they’re dead
And the terror in your eyes
Would crucify even (silent lies) repeat
